Deducted from wagesThe agency deducts the rent for your accommodation from your wages. It shows as its own named line on your payslip.A change is coming: the Dutch government plans that from 1 July 2028 employers may no longer deduct housing costs from the minimum wage. After that, rent will usually be paid separately, under a rental agreement.
